Preparation of annual accounts
Not only will we produce accounts that satisfy the Companies Act 2006 format, but, we will work with you to ensure that this is done in a timely fashion in order to avoid late filing penalties, which currently start at £150 quickly working upwards to £1500 or more. It has therefore never been more important to meet the filing deadline for company accounts! This deadline is now 9 months from the year end for Companies House and remains at 12 months for HM Revenue & Customs.

Sole traders and partnerships will also be presented with accounts showing the financial performance of the business for the period. These will form the basis of the tax computation, which in turn will be used to complete self assessment tax returns.

Management Accounts
Whether you are a company or sole trader/partnership, ever increasingly we are finding that clients are required by their banks and other third parties to produce evidence of financial performance during an accounting period. Historically annual accounts were sufficient to secure overdrafts, lending and general support of financiers, but as times have changed borrowing has become harder to obtain and retain.

Management accounts not only satisfy the requirements of lenders, but more importantly they provide invaluable information about where your business is currently at; how it compares to prior years; and how best to increase the profitability over the year to come.
